If you're searching for engaging career readiness activities, business education resources, or real-world case studies for high school students, you're not alone. More teachers are looking for classroom materials that move beyond memorization and help students develop the judgement, communication, and critical thinking skills employers consistently say they value most.

That need inspired Northleo Writing Inc's newest collection of short case studies for Grades 10–12. Each resource is built around an authentic workplace scenario that asks students to analyze a realistic business problem, evaluate different options, and think like a professional. Rather than simply recalling facts, students are challenged to make decisions, explain their reasoning, and discuss the consequences of their choices. These are the kinds of conversations that prepare students for life after graduation.

The current collection focuses on three highly relevant areas of today's workplace: job interviews, accounting, and artificial intelligence. Click here to see them in the store.

The job interview case studies help students understand employer expectations, professional communication, workplace etiquette, and interview decision-making. Instead of practicing scripted answers, students examine realistic hiring situations and develop the confidence to think critically under pressure.

The accounting case studies introduce students to authentic workplace dilemmas involving ethics, internal controls, communication between departments, financial decision making, and professional responsibility. These scenarios demonstrate that accounting is about much more than numbers; it's about judgement, integrity, and business strategy.

The artificial intelligence (AI) case studies examine how AI is transforming modern workplaces while encouraging students to evaluate both its benefits and its limitations. Students learn that technology is most effective when combined with human reasoning, ethical decision-making, and strong communication skills.

Every resource is intentionally concise, affordable, and classroom-ready. They work well for business management, accounting, career education, digital citizenship, entrepreneurship, employability skills, workplace readiness, substitute teacher plans, independent learning, small-group discussions, and end-of-unit enrichment. Each case study is designed to fit easily into a single class period while generating meaningful discussion and critical thinking.

Based on my own experience as a career executive, my goal is to create resources that reflect the kinds of situations employees actually face in today's workplaces. These are not boring textbook examples, rather, they are realistic scenarios inspired by the types of decisions professionals need to make every day. If you're looking for high school business activities, career readiness lessons, accounting case studies, AI classroom resources, or workplace skills activities that encourage students to think beyond the obvious answer, you're in the right place. Preparing students for the workforce begins by giving them learning opportunities to think like professionals. I hope these short case studies become a valuable addition to your classroom.
